Über dieses Spiel

Tetrocube is a meditative, low-pressure tetromino game where, you drop random tetrominoes to build a 10x10x10 cube, one slice at a time.
-You have 30 seconds per slice to build it up as much as possible (or skip over the slice with the "next slice" button at the bottom).
-Tetrominos are taken from the top of the queue as soon as your finger touches the board.
-The tetromino will follow your finger in all 4 cardinal directions (up, down, left, right) for as long as you hold your finger on the screen; no restrictions on movement.
-The tetromino will auto-rotate to get all 4 blocks of the tetromino as close to your finger as possible. Basically, just point at where you want it to go, and it will find the best fit by itself!
-Lifting your finger from the screen will drop the tetromino into place with it's current rotation.
-To store a tetromino, drag and drop it onto the HOLD square to the right of the board. If there is already a tetromino being held, it will swap with the active tetromino, and be placed at the top of the board waiting for input (you will not be able to proceed to the next slice until the swapped tetromino is placed on the board).
-The cube is scanned at the end of every round to clear fully formed 10x10 slices.
-The game state is saved every time the board switches active slices, when you return to main menu, or force close the app.
-"New Game" will clear the board, but retain your high score.

This game should be considered more of an "early access" title than a complete experience. There's currently no in-game tutorial, and i'm not sure I'm going to bother adding one as this was just a quick project I put together because I don't like the control scheme of other mobile tetromino games.

Known Bugs:
-There is currently no failure state. So if you keep placing tetrominos when there is no room, they will just keep stacking on top of each other.
-I haven't integrated online services. So if you reinstall the game, it will reset your high score.

Future Plans:
I may or may not get to these in the future since this is just a fun side project. I'm only charging money to offset the cost of my Google Play developer license.
-The time limit doesn't really matter yet... you can skip a slice at any time, so if you run out of time you can just keep skipping until you get back to the slice you were working on. I have a few ideas on how to "gamify" this project a bit more, but haven't settled on anything.
-I feel like the 10x10x10 cube is probably a little too big. My current thoughts are to reduce the size of the cube, reduce the 30 second time limit, remove the "Next Slice" button, and require a minimum number of tetrominos to be dropped on each slice, but I've had a good time with the game just treating it as a low pressure time killer, so maybe it's fine the way it is?

Email me or drop a review with any ideas!
